UP & COMING DESIGNERS FROM SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY SHOWCASE THEIR COLLECTIONS AT RUNWAY 2010: NOUVELLE

San Francisco, CA – April, 22, 2010. Have you ever wondered where the next wave of fashion is headed?  If so, make your way to RUNWAY 2010: Nouvelle.  Apparel Design & Merchandising (ADM) students from San Francisco State University will give you a runway show you'll never forget.

Apparel Design & Merchandising students from SFSU have been working for weeks, some for months, on designing garments that will blow the audience away. “This is our Bryant Park, the 'Fashion Week' of our college careers, so holding back isn't an option for me” exclaims graduating senior & designer Kathryn Guinto.  Like Guinto, many of the students can't wait to showcase all of the sweat and tears that went into collections that they really feel embody who they are as designers.

The Fashion Network Association, the main sponsor of the event, and the Apparel Design & Merchandising students of SFSU have been working hard together to provide you with RUNWAY 2010: NOUVELLE.  This unforgettable event will take place on Thursday night, April 22, 2010 at 7:30pm, located at the San Francisco Design Center's Galleria, and it's not just about the designers, but about the talented merchandisers as well.  Merchandisers, who have become the backbone of the show, have been utilizing their strong skills in order to prepare for one of the biggest events the department has ever been a part of.  “I'm really excited to be a part of the preparation and execution of the show; it should be very successful with all the talented designers that entered this spring” says graduating senior & merchandiser, Pamela Alfonso.

The amazing venue has been home to San Francisco's very own Fashion Week.  Don't miss out on the runway show that will mark SFSU on the fashion map of the Bay Area!
